Established in 2017
Esteemed Music Productions is a registered entity with the CIPC and has been running as a music academy since its inception. In its initial stages, the business operated as a recording studio as well, with the intention of creating an arm of exposure to the recording world to its students. This service has been suspended since 2022 and will soon be reinstated.
Our founder and CEO, Mr Thapelo Mofokeng is a passionate teacher at heart, investing his experience of over 20 years as a musician to the easy grasp of young minds. His knowledge and skill in the arts as a drummer and pianist have been groomed through experiences ranging from playing in church since 2005 till date; sessioning for various artists in the gospel, jazz and afro pop genres.
Esteemed Music has been part of community development projects such as the Bothners Bloemfontein Annual Drum-Off since the year 2019 as a contributor and supporter of the initiative to build the drumming community of Bloemfontein. The company has since been involved with other youth development initiatives such as the Eunice High School Drumline , which Mr Mofokeng coaches and writes for. This drumline has garnered Diamond and Gold awards at the annual MADD Fest in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The most significant achievement for Mr Mofokeng is the positive impact on the girls in the drumline – it is timeless.
Since 2022, Esteemed Music began a fruitful journey of providing drumline accompaniment for the University of the Free State at their graduation ceremonies and annual rag events. This project shows prospects of great innovation as the years go by.
Mr Mofokeng is motivated to push boundaries and establish new relationships across various sectors with the pure intention of opening doors for the youth.
